First, begin with straight hair. Begin from the bottom layer and ensure that each layer is straightened with the use of a hair straightener. Next, the hair should be straight all over. The first two layers of the hair are going to be used to create the popular style of backcombing to create the appearance of volume through the top layers. Take the first two layers and flip them to the other side of the head. Backcomb the bottom of the two layers and create volume. Use styling spray to complete the style.

Flip back the top layer of the hair to disguise the backcombing; this will create a sleek and finished look. This should be completed through all the top layers on the head, even the back.
