Scene haircuts are one of the newest trends and are known by most as Emo haircuts. These hairstyles make use of dark colors, combined with light blonde sections for girls, long layers, side swept bangs and hair that has been straightened to reveal sleek styles. Through the styles that are created in the hair, there are many individuals that have chosen to have a hairstyle, that is “Scene” and versatile.
What should you ask for while trying to obtain a “scene” haircut? Keep in mind that long layers are prominent through the hairstyle and short layers on the top which are often back combed and teased to create a hairstyle that can literally reach new heights.
How should you style a scene haircut? The traditional way to style a scene haircut, well, the only way, is to wear the hairstyle straight. Poker straight hair with the use of anti frizz serum, good conditioner and a straightening iron is the only way that the hair is worn – for guys, as well as girls. Through the use of these tools, hairstyles can take an extended amount of time to style without the use of good products and effective tools.
While styling the hair, it is important to remember that the hair should be straight, can contain various colors and is often swept to the side, over one eye. To find inspiration for scene haircuts, there are a variety of hair galleries which are available and most stylists are familiar with the style and therefore can help to create a haircut that can work for you and a haircut and style that can portray the image that you wish to portray.

Back combing under the hair or blow drying the hair from the root towards the opposite ends can be the most effective way to get the height that you want in your hair. Backcombing layers that are under the first is a great way to get layered height!

also scene doesnt look good on everyone it sometimes goes horrible wrong and turns out not rite for their face shapeand build… how your bodie is… it all has to do with u…and some scene cuts becuz their r diff ones dont look good on some ppl when others do… just b careful and dont go to a random salon even if they usually do ur hair becuz chance is theyve nvr cut hair to be scene… thts what happened to me it turned out all shaggy nd different lengths… one side was diff in length than the other… find a place tht does it how u want it nd has experience… and wont tweak it so it works to their advantage and so they do what u want
good luck on getting the cut u want

as much as i lovee havinq ’scene hair’, it’s really annoyinq to style every morninq. ’scene hair’ shouldn’t be a name of a style, it’s creative and made your own way, in which best suites yourself. so all you people askinq for ’scene hair’, make it your own, don’t be a poser and say your scene, just because you have the hair.

Jacyy,
You are right, the scene hairstyle is simply more than a hairstyle – there is a certain level of personality that is needed in order to pull off the entire look.
Do you have a picture that you would like to upload, of your hairstyle? We would love to see!

Hollyy,
I am sorry to hear that. It is important to not only be sure that you bring a picture of the hairstyle but also that you learn to style the hair in the same way.
Is it more of a styling problem that you are having, or the haircut itself?

EMO, isn’t a fashion trend/hairstyle. Emo is a state of mind.. If you call your self emo, then your probably a poser.
And scene hair styles are meant for one to be different and stand out, with their OWN personality.. Just saying.
