Scene haircuts are some of the most popular styles that are available for girls. You may recognize the black and other colored haircuts on some of your favorite internet celebrities and even within the community. These hairstyles are often created long, with thin layers through the base of the hair and the short layers through the top of the style which make up the volume that comes with the style. Many people are envious of these hairstyles and wonder how to style the hair to ensure that it looks great – so here are some tips and instructions that can be used while styling scene haircuts to make sure that you get the results that you want when it comes to your hair.
First, the hair should be straightened with the use of a flat iron to create the styles within the hair. Next, you should ensure that all layers are flattened, before proceeding with the styling. Use a mirror to check the back of the style to ensure that the hair is flat. Next, section the hair into layers, using the first three layers which are going to be styled in the hair. Use the layer below the top layer of the hair and back comb the underside of the hair after lightly spritzing it with hair spray. This will allow you to create volume under the top layer of the hair. If you are looking to create larger volume, you can begin in a lower section of the hair, to create the volume to be higher.
Next, once you have created the volume throughout the entire crown in the head be sure to allow yourself to be able to bring the hair down from the top layer, over the layers that have been created volume in the hair. You have created a scene hairstyle, congratulations!

Brandi Ann,
Bring in lots of pictures to the stylist when you get your hair cut, this is the only way that you can get the exact style if you are unable to explain it.
When it comes to styling the hair, watch teh stylist and ask questions to ensure that you will be able do it just like them.

These colors are some of the most popular combination that can be seen in the Scene types of hairstyles and are increasingly in popularity. The trend isn’t dying off anytime soon!

Tasha,
The longer style can be style intensive and require you to straighten and back comb the style. You should take this into account – as well as your personal style while trying to decide whether this style is for you!

@Brandi Ann:
Most scene kids cut their hair themselves. Believe me, if ya go to the stylist, no matter what, u won’t get what u want. It’s easier to do it yourself.

it wont look stupid. i have scene hair and i dont wear heaps and heaps of makeup and instead of all the colours being permanent, i just use clip in coloured extentions. i find it easy to make it look natural ifi realy want =P

For all of you that are worried about small directions you might wanna give to the person who is cutting your hair, I’ve found that most recognize” pie slicing.” It simply means to take a vertical section of hair and to cut with sissors downward. (Depending on how short you want these layers to be. You choose:)) Then follow through with all your hair. To acheive a “scene” look you should have a fringe bang that is workable ( meaning you can sweep it to the side or comb it to the front or whatever). You should remember that this is just the haircut and can be used on MOST hairtypes. If your hair is really curly or thick or corse you should start flat ironing your hair and using a de-frizzing product about a week before you get it cut so you know how your hair might adapt to the layers, and the time and effort you will be putting into your hair
some might not like putting in too much effort into ones hair and would decide against such a hairstyle. Remember this is your hair, you CAN dye it or not. It’s up to you. Whichever colors YOU want there are no rules. Iv’e seen all blue and all black and all blonde scene looks that have been pulled off nicely.
You may have heard of coontails. If you want them then type “how to dye coontails” on google. I don’t feel like typing all the directions:)
These styling tips are surprisingly good and I recommend them sinse I have been called a scene kid due to my style for several years now, even though I am 13
If you have any questions, feel free to send a friend request on myspace to “Kayla Kompulsive” a.k.a Kayla Hinman which is me:D or khinman26@aim.com though I don’t go on there too often
Hopefully my advice is helpful
