show the latest hairstyles ... Traditional Indian hairstyles for children are actually pretty basic. Boys and girls both had long hair, and the only thing girls generally did with it was put braids into it. Boys on the other hand, as time went by, developed designs that people use today because they make them look cool.

One of these designs is the Mohawk. Traditionally used on Indian boys, the Mohawk is when all the hair is shaved off the head, with the exception of a strip down the center. Although on young Indian boys this was hardly longer than a few inches high, teenage boys today tend to spike it up to a foot tall because they think it looks cool.

The art of braiding was originally adopted from the Indians and used on many women still to this day. Many hairstyles involve braiding, whether it’s pigtails, a French braid, or micro braiding, woman have continued to use this style on a daily basis. It’s also good if you want to wake up with curly hair, to braid your hair into a few the night before and go to bed with them in.

Shaving symbols into your head was also a tradition to the Indian tribes. Each tribe had their own symbols that both boys and men got shaved into their hair, or tattooed to their bodies. Nowadays, teenage boys tend to shave other things into their head—like curse words or Nike signs. Even though we have adopted some traditions, it seems that these Indian Hairstyles have definitely become fabricated.
