Hi Haseena,
Color should not be taken lightly, no pun intended! Coloring the hair with permanent color should be considered with great thought, especially going blonde.
Going to a salon is necessary most times, in order to lighten the hair more than two shades, if not – you could end up with orange hair!
When I was quite younger, this happened to me. I decided to go blonde, at home – First, I ended up with orange hair, so a week later I tried again – Now, not only did I have yellow-blonde hair, but I had fried hair and the color had to grow out of it!

Elisa,
For brown hair it most often takes a couple of applications, one to bleach the hair and one to color. Since this double processing is required, you should meet with a stylist get the right look – as it can easily go wrong at home.

The lady holding her hair up with blue eyes, what shade of blonde is that called? Do you think I could print that picture to take to my salon then ask for it to be dyed?
Also, when I was younger I had naturally light blonde hair, but as I reached 13 it began to darken as well as my eyebrows. Would it look really bad to have dark eyebrows with blonde hair? I really dont want to bleach them… (Altough I did read somewhere that as long as they are shaped well it looks fine, but I just wanted to check).

Reply To Jade.
Red is the hardest color to get rid of…Depends what kind of red. I was in the same situation.
What I did:
I was at a fire red. But I waited about a month and a half to let the color fade. Dyed it to a brown shade…let that wash out…Went to a light brown…and just slowly worked my way up..also adding higlights. [different shades of blonde.] <3
Hope that helped!
